Oracle to Lay Off Thousands Amid $50B AI Infrastructure Investment

Oracle has begun notifying thousands of employees about layoffs as it plans to raise between $45 billion and $50 billion to build out its AI infrastructure. The cloud giant currently employs 162,000 people and is focusing on AI-driven efficiency gains despite workforce reductions.
